What’s included
No project is too small or too big. I take on anything from interior design for new home builds and full home remodels, to refurnishing and accessorizing spaces for a fresh look.
For the interior design package, the following is included (based on project needs):
- Design consultations to discuss the details and vision for your project
- Space planning for improved functionality and layout
- Design presentation to help you visualize the full concept and make changes as needed
- Budget and project management, including scheduling and coordination of contractors
- Selection of permanent fixtures such as cabinets, countertops, tile, flooring and fixtures
- Selection of soft goods like window treatments and upholstery
- Oversight throughout the entire demolition and installation process
- Furnishing and styling of the space with new and/or existing art, lighting, furniture and accessories
For the interior-decorating-only package, the following is included (based on project needs):
- Decorating consultations to discuss the details and vision for your project
- Sourcing of selections including paint, lighting, furniture, accessories and art
- Furnishing and styling of the space
How it works
Although no project is exactly the same, knowledge of standard procedures often helps my clients feel more comfortable throughout the project. Here is a general outline of what you can expect while working with me.
Phase 1: Walk-through consultation
All projects begin with an in-person consultation. Together, we’ll walk through your home to get a sense of its style and chat about your vision for how you’d like your new space to function. We’ll also talk through your budget and timeline. If necessary, we’ll schedule a “trade day” where all the contractors needed for your project will also walk through the site to properly estimate the cost of materials and labor.
Phase 2: Design consultation & presentation
The second consultation generally takes place 4-8 weeks after the walk-through. During this meeting, I’ll provide you with pricing from my contractors and present my design ideas. This includes conceptual drawings and samples of selections such as fabrics, tile, flooring and paint, so you can see how the space will flow together and come to life.
Phase 3: Design execution
Once your project’s budget and selections are approved, I take the vision we created from concept to reality. During any required demolition or construction, I work alongside the contractors and other involved trade professionals to ensure installation is carefully executed.
My involvement from start to finish helps streamline processes and troubleshoot any issues that may arise with the best solution to ensure the final design still exceeds your expectations.
Phase 4: Final touches & big reveal
Now, it’s time to style! You can join me in styling the space or let me surprise you. Some clients enjoy being a part of this phase, while others want the excitement of the full reveal – the choice is all yours!
